The "Media Innovation and Sports Education" themed Higher Education Ideological and Political Innovation Activity, part of the 13th China College Students Television Festival and organized by China Education Television and the Fujian Provincial Department of Education, was held at Fuzhou University. Ms. Gong Jing, Director of the Big Data Department and Deputy Director of the Party Committee Propaganda Department at Sichuan University of Culture and Arts, attended the event on behalf of the university.

The event, themed "Media Innovation and Sports Education," explored the integration of sports and ideological and political education in a converged media context and announced the results of a related video collection. The video Dopamine Campus Rainbow Run, produced by the New Media Center of the Big Data Department and organized by the Student Affairs Department of Sichuan University of Culture and Arts, stood out among nearly 500 submissions from universities nationwide. It received the "Outstanding Campus Culture Communication Works" award, alongside 13 other universities, including Beijing International Studies University, Xiamen University, Sichuan University, Harbin Engineering University, Shandong University, Peking University, and the Communication University of China. As the only private university honored, Sichuan University of Culture and Arts has now won recognition for two consecutive years in higher education ideological and political innovation-themed activities.

During the keynote session, leaders from universities across the country and external experts engaged in an in-depth discussion on the systematic construction of sports-based ideological and political education. Chen Guolong, Party Secretary of Fuzhou University, shared insights on "Fuzhou University’s Exploration in Empowering Education through Sports." Sun Li, Deputy Party Secretary of Xiamen University, highlighted how Xiamen University enhances ideological and political leadership through its "Experience Fujian" research and practice initiatives.

In the panel discussion, moderator Bai Yansong conversed with Olympic weightlifting champion Li Wenwen, gymnast Chen Yibing, curling world champion Wang Bingyu, and other experts. They explored how to translate the Olympic spirit and sports stories into narratives that resonate with youth, bridging classrooms, sports fields, and cyberspace.

Notably, the "Higher Education Ideological and Political Innovation Development Activity," a core component of the China College Students Television Festival, has been held annually since 2023. Through this platform, university propaganda leaders and frontline ideological and political educators have engaged in discussions on building a comprehensive ideological and political education framework, expanding its depth, and innovating pathways. These efforts aim to guide young students in strengthening their ideals and spreading positive energy amidst the information tide.
