On November 20th, "The 6th Sichuan Province Youth Dance Works Exhibition," hosted by the Sichuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Sichuan Dance Association, was splendidly staged at the Sichuan Province Grand Theater. A total of 22 works were showcased in this exhibition, among which the duet dance piece Rong  Yuan, co-created by Wang Shizhang, a teacher from School of Music and Dance, SUCA, and the Mianyang Dance Association, became the only selected work from the Mianyang area and won both the "Outstanding Work Award" and the "Outstanding Performance Award."

The Sichuan Province Youth Dance Works Exhibition has been successfully held for six times and has now become a barometer for middle-aged and young dance choreographers to innovate and lead the development of the dance industry in line with the demands of the times. The aim of the Sichuan Province Youth Dance Exhibition is to build a high-standard, professional, and institutionalized platform for young dance talents to stand out, selecting and nurturing a group of outstanding young dance artists who have faith, passion, and responsibility in the inheritance, innovation, and promotion of the arts.

Rong Yuan depicts the resilient growth of red willows and poplars in the vast Gobi desert with dance. If the red willow represents the branches and leaves of an oasis, then the poplar is the root of the earth. They are interwoven and blended, depending on each other and coexisting in extreme environments. They are not only the source of all life but also symbolize the Chinese nation "embracing each other tightly like pomegranate seeds," with all ethnic groups being close as brothers and sisters, watching over and helping each other, forming a blood-connected, warm, and harmonious national community. This also inspires young dance workers to unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core of taking on new cultural missions in the new era.

The winning of two awards for Rong Yuan is not only an affirmation of the teaching ability of SUCA, but also the showcase of the educational teaching achievements.

Enhancing the teaching abilities of young teachers, SUCA will focuse on the philosophy of “Competition promotes learning, teaching and creating”. Teachers and students who actively participated in various competitions will be greatly encouraged. Through practical exercises and demonstrations, teachers will continuously improve their teaching abilities and professional qualities, and contribute to the high-quality development of SUCA.
