A Glimpse into Mountains and Rivers of China's Scenic Beauty · Calligraphy Exhibition of the Seven Artists Opens at the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy

On the morning of December 8, 2024, at 10 o'clock, a much-anticipated calligraphy event, "A Glimpse into Mountains and Rivers of China's Scenic Beauty · Calligraphy Exhibition of the Seven Artists Opens at the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy" opened at the Sichuan Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Museum. The exhibition was organized by the Sichuan Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Institute and Sichuan University of Culture and Arts, and undertaken by the Chinese Calligraphy and Seal Carving Academy of Sichuan University of Culture and Arts, with academic support from the Sichuan Calligraphers Association. The atmosphere at the exhibition site was enthusiastic, with over 300 representatives from the calligraphy and cultural communities, including scholars and students, witnessing this significant moment together.

He Yinghui, advisor to the China Calligraphers Association and honorary president of the Sichuan Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Institute, announced the opening of the exhibition. Liu Yiping, executive vice president of the Chinese Calligraphy and Seal Carving Academy at Sichuan University of Culture and Arts, Zhang Jingyue, researcher at the Chinese National Academy of Arts Calligraphy Institute and honorary president of the Sichuan Provincial Political Consultative Conference's Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, Ren Jun, vice president of Sichuan University of Culture and Arts, Dai Yue, vice chairman of the China Calligraphers Association, vice chairman of the Sichuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and chairman of the Sichuan Calligraphers Association, and Han Qi Chao, a representative of the exhibiting artists, each delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by Leng Baiqing, vice president of the Sichuan Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Institute.

The exhibition brings together 98 outstanding works by seven leading calligraphers in China, aiming to promote the artistic growth of teachers and students and expand the path of artistic exploration. It also has profound significance for strengthening the close ties between calligraphers and calligraphy enthusiasts, promoting mutual exchange, improving the level of calligraphic creation, promoting the excellent traditional culture of the nation, and advancing the high-quality and prosperous development of the calligraphy profession. It is also an important measure for the calligraphy major to strengthen the construction of campus culture and aesthetic education at Sichuan University of Culture and Arts.

It is reported that the exhibition will continue until December 16, 2024.
